Our Salvation

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

A wage is something that you earn, a gift is something that someone else earns and gives to you. Christ paid the price for our salvation.

Romans 3:23, for all have sinned and fall short of the Glory Of God.

That is in our natural state we do not measure up to Gods standard. We miss the mark.

Romans 5:8, But God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

You and I weren't born when Christ died, we, in this verse, refers to mankind. God did not say, "if you get right, I will save you", but He sent his son while mankind was still in sin.

Romans 10:9-10, that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation.

To confess is to agree with. If you agree with what the Bible says concerning the Lord Jesus Christ, you can too be saved.

Romans 10:13, For whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Whoever includes you. The word call has the idea of calling with a sense of depending on. If you recognize that you are a Sinner and that Jesus Christ is the only Savior, you are invited to call upon Him for salvation.

Lord Jesus, I come as a sinner, asking for your forgiveness of my sins. Please come into my life, save me, and guide me to become the person you want me to be. Thank you for saving me. Amen.
